Prettier Tiles and Bugfixes

In the wake of the Summer Showcase jam ending, I've continued to make small changes to HatQuest. The most immediately noticeable is probably the tiles - instead of blank squares, there are now three sets of black and white patterns that can show up. I'd like to add more in the future, or even make them customisable, but I'm happy with how they look at the moment.

There are also a few bugs that have been fixed:

  • Vertical sync has been enabled to stop screen tearing
  • Tile generation should now be seamless; no more single-pixel gaps

On top of that, the hat now moves according to the map! It's still a little janky, but it's trying to navigate the map, just like you.

There's still features I'd like to add - a proper settings menu so that things like volume, controls, and speed can be adjusted, background music that changes with the colour, more map variety - but making the bulk of HatQuest in ten days was rough, so I don't know when any or all of these features will make it in.
